This challenge was to create a dark princess costume for Cirque Du Soliel. I decided early on to go with more of the ballet element of Cirque Du Soliel than then acrobatic costuming.

The bodice is heavy satin with curved boning. The top layer of the petal skirt is ombred satin and blends into the lower layer of double georgette. The gloves are also of double georgette. The crisscross neckline, waist, and glove trim is rhinestone lace (which is why it has funny white dots on it, that's my pathetic attempt at creating reflection). The center of the crisscross contains a very large rhinestone.

I'm really pleased with the way this design turned out, especially after i colored it, but i need to go back and clean the sketch up...it's 3 am and i'm too tired.
